We’re looking for a reliable Finishing Operator to join our team on 2nd shift. This role focuses on packing, material handling, and general production support, with the possibility of operating the Table Inspection Machine as needed.
Pay: $19.75/hr
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 2pm-1030:pm
Duration: Through mid‑April with strong potential for extension or conversion
Location: Cranbury, NJ
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate basic finishing machines and equipment.
- Run packing equipment and help prepare products for shipment.
- Make simple machine adjustments as needed during production.
- Check products for quality and remove any defective material.
- Work with the quality team by providing samples when required.
- Report any quality concerns to management.
- Move and handle materials such as boxes, bins, and rolls safely.
- Trim, label, bag, and pack products for shipping.
- Keep track of supply levels and let management know when items are running low.
- Fill out basic production and quality paperwork.
- Follow instructions, drawings, and standard operating procedures.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic maintenance on equipment.
- Learn additional tasks and help train others when needed.
Skills & Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior manufacturing experience is a plus, especially with equipment operation, product inspection, or material handling.
- Experience with slitting or converting machines is beneficial.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and read technical drawings.
- Basic familiarity with hand tools and measuring devices (tape measure, ruler).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
