Medical Triage Representative
Location: Princeton, NJ
Pay: $25/hr
Schedule: 3 days per week, 13‑hour shifts (nights & weekends required)
We are seeking experienced medical triage professionals only—individuals trained specifically in emergency assessment, patient prioritization, and rapid clinical decision-making. If your background centers on direct triage work (EMS, ER, acute care call centers, nurse triage lines), we want to meet you. This role is ideal for candidates who have performed real-time triage, assessed severity, and made critical disposition decisions under pressure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle emergency and urgent medical inquiries requiring clinical triage judgment
- Apply established triage protocols to assess urgency and prioritize care needs
- Coordinate care, including urgent referrals, prescription support, and rare medical evacuations
- Document cases accurately using triage or case-management systems
- Communicate with members, clinicians, and emergency resources
- Maintain an updated database of medical providers
- Support process improvements within the triage team
- Handle all sensitive medical information with professionalism
Required Qualifications (Must-Haves):
- Hands-on, direct triage experience is REQUIRED
- Examples: ER triage, EMS/paramedic triage, nurse triage call lines, urgent care triage, flight medicine, crisis medical response
- Active or previous credential as RN, EMT, Paramedic, or similar emergency-trained field
- Minimum 2 years of emergency triage or rapid‑assessment experience
- Customer service skills within a clinical or emergency assistance environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and make confident decisions in high‑pressure situations
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime
