CNC Machinist

PeopleShare is seeking an experienced Direct Hire CNC Machinist for a growing manufacturing team. This is an ASAP fill with excellent benefits, steady hours, and long‑term stability.
Position Details
Pay Rate: $26–$30/hr.
Location: Trenton, NJ
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm

Job Responsibilities
Follow all environmental, health, and safety procedures; report hazards, near‑misses, and injuries.
Participate in developing and updating risk assessments; review annually.
Read and interpret engineering drawings/prints, including tolerances and finish requirements.
Use precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and depth gauges.
Understand basic G & M codes; read and edit machine programs; upload/download programs.
Train operators on loading, machining, unloading, deburring, and other required steps.
Troubleshoot machining issues, adjust for tool wear, and replace dull or broken tools.
Enter production data into the tracking system.
Complete all required documentation, including setup sheets and serial tracking forms.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Continuously improve workstation performance, reduce cycle times, and enhance quality.
Communicate professionally with all team members; use translation tools when needed.
Follow direction from supervisors and management.
Work overtime as required.
Job Requirements
2–5 years of CNC Machinist experience
Ability to set up and operate CNC machines
Understanding of G & M codes
Experience with Haas or Okuma equipment
Advanced machining skills: work holding, tooling, setup, fixture/tool offsets, program editing
Ability to hold tight tolerances
Strong knowledge of quality control measuring tools
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing/assembly drawings
Strong communication skills
Ability to lift 70 lbs regularly, up to ten times per hour
Ability to work in a non–air‑conditioned environment for at least 8 hours per day
