Are you an experienced welder and fabricator ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for a hands-on Lead Fabricator to support daily shop operations, guide team members, and help ensure quality fabrication work is completed safely and on schedule.
What You'll Do
✅ Perform hands-on fabrication, welding, and modification of metal forms and components
✅ Coordinate daily work assignments for fabrication team members
✅ Review shop drawings and blueprints for accuracy before production
✅ Ensure work meets quality standards, specifications, and production timelines
✅ Troubleshoot fabrication challenges and help identify solutions
✅ Support training and development of less experienced team members
✅ Operate fabrication equipment including welding machines, saws, shears, and drill presses
✅ Assist with material planning and communicate supply needs
✅ Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
✅ Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements
What We're Looking For
✔ 4+ years of fabrication and welding experience in a manufacturing environment
✔ Strong blueprint and shop drawing interpretation skills
✔ Proficient stick welding experience required
✔ Experience using oxy-acetylene torches and fabrication equipment
✔ Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
✔ Ability to accurately measure, read a tape measure, and perform basic calculations
✔ Experience helping guide workflow and support team members
✔ Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused
✔ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a physically demanding environment
Work Environment
- Heavy industrial manufacturing setting
- Exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and varying temperatures
- Frequent standing, walking, climbing, bending, and lifting
- PPE required, including steel-toe boots, hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves
