Maintenance Warehouse Technician (Temp-to-Hire)
Location: Romeoville, IL
Pay: $27/hr — Weekly Pay
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
A leading consumer goods company known for its baking tools, decorating supplies, and creative kitchen products is seeking a Maintenance Warehouse Technician for its Romeoville distribution center. This facility supports nationwide product distribution and relies on well‑maintained equipment and systems to keep operations running smoothly.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on warehouse material‑handling equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain conveyor systems
Complete preventative maintenance tasks to reduce downtime
Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs with general supervision
Perform general facility maintenance throughout the warehouse (lighting, minor repairs, basic building upkeep)
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Ensure equipment and work areas remain safe and operational
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Qualifications
Mechanical maintenance experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
Exposure to MHE (material‑handling equipment)
Experience working with conveyor systems
Comfortable performing general maintenance tasks throughout the warehouse
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Reliable, safety‑focused, and able to work Monday–Friday
