Maintenance Technician III Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician III will serve as a highly skilled resource for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving high-tech production equipment. This role will lead corrective maintenance, perform preventive & predictive maintenance, and participate in machinery upgrades, installations, and facility improvements. You’ll work closely with production teams to reduce downtime, enhance equipment reliability, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Diagnose and repair machinery to ensure optimal performance
- Perform corrective maintenance and reduce failure incidents
- Repair extruder & injection molding machines
- Complete maintenance work requests and collaborate with internal teams for information gathering
- Track materials, spare parts & chemicals needed for maintenance work
- Perform preventive maintenance on high-tech and critical equipment
- Conduct predictive maintenance and report issues proactively
- Recommend improvements to enhance Preventive Maintenance Programs
- Lead special projects including installations, layout modifications & refurbishments
- Use A3 analysis for root cause identification and assist with Kaizen problem-solving
Maintenance Technician III Job Requirements:
- 5-10 years of maintenance experience with injection molding experience
- Strong troubleshooting capability
- Ability to read PLC ladder logic
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude required
- Strong communication, initiative, and problem-solving skills
