Warehouse Supervisor – Woodridge, IL
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay: $23–$25 per hour (based on experience)
Overtime: Required as needed; occasional weekends may be required
A leading horticultural distribution company is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for its Woodridge, IL location. This role is ideal for someone with strong leadership abilities, warehouse experience, and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
Position Overview
Responsibilities include overseeing receiving, shipping, inventory accuracy, workflow coordination, safety compliance, and supporting the training and development of warehouse staff.
Key Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
Lead and support warehouse team members
Oversee shipping, receiving, and inventory accuracy
Ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped correctly
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse
Conduct daily team meetings and provide performance feedback
Approve timecards and assist with basic administrative tasks
Work with drivers, customer service, and vendors
Assist walk‑in customers as needed
Perform hands‑on warehouse tasks, including lifting up to 75 lbs
Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience:
Previous warehouse experience required
Supervisory experience required
Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment
Proven ability to train, lead, and develop employees
Skills & Abilities:
Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills
Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory management, receiving, and shipping
Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment
Strong customer service skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook
Experience with business operations systems
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical warehouse tasks
Working Conditions
Fast‑paced warehouse environment
Exposure to temperature fluctuations (non‑climate‑controlled warehouse)
Frequent use of warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
Noise levels consistent with warehouse operations
Physical activity, including lifting, bending, stooping, and reaching
