Child Protective Services Specialist Job Details:
- Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5pm (schedule is flexible within working hours)
- Pay Rate: $19.50/hr paid weekly!
Child Protective Services Specialist Job Description:
Provide on-going case management and social work services to families in accordance with department policies and procedures.
Assist in assessing family needs, with a strong focus on family preservation and child safety.
Monitor client progress and ensure ongoing safety through regular contact with caregivers.
Offer support services related to personal safety, shelter, food, and clothing for families and individuals.
Support Family Services Supervisors and fellow Child Protective Services Specialists with case management duties.
Document all client and caregiver interactions for entry into the Child Welfare Automated Information System (CWAIS).
Child Protective Services Specialist Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or a related field.
Previous experience in human services, child welfare or social services required.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently under general supervision.
Must be willing to undergo a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
