HCV Specialist Job Details:
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $18.50/hr.
Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Type: Temp-to-Hire

HCV Specialist Job Description:
The Program Specialist provides operational support in all areas of the Authority’s Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Program, with a primary focus on program compliance related to participant certification. Reporting directly to the Director of the HCV Program, this role plays a key part in ensuring accurate documentation, strong communication with participants, and collaborative service delivery.
Examples of Work (Illustrative Only):
Answer program inquiries from participants or the public
Schedule and perform certifications (initial, annual, interim) and process portable transfers
Conduct briefing sessions and distribute necessary documentation
Assist participants in locating housing units
Calculate and assist with Housing Assistance Payments (HAP); coordinate contracts with landlords
Monitor transfer needs and housing unit sizing
Conduct Housing Quality Standards inspections
Prepare reports and assist Director with special projects
Maintain data entry and correspondence
Observe safety protocols and perform additional duties as assigned
