Shipping Clerk Job Details:
- Pay: $18.50
- Schedule: Monday–Friday; 600 AM – 2:00 PM OR 7am-3pm
Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
- Schedule carrier pickups and prepare all required shipping documentation, including bills of lading and packing slips.
- Use shipping software to generate labels, verify order details, and track outbound shipments.
- Communicate with carriers to resolve delays, routing issues, or damaged freight.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through routine cycle counts and timely updates to inventory systems.
- Report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or damaged materials to the Shipping Manager.
- Follow all established safety procedures, including proper handling of corrugated materials and safe operation of warehouse equipment.
- Ensure all shipments meet company quality standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with production and quality control teams to meet daily shipping deadlines.
Shipping Clerk Requirements:
- Previous experience in shipping, logistics, warehouse operations, or scheduling, ideally in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency with shipping software such as FedEx, UPS, or freight systems.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand for long periods.
