Purchasing Clerk Job Details:
- Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30am-4pm
- Pay Rate: $23-28/hour
- Job Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire
- Location: Quakertown, PA
Purchasing Clerk Responsibilities:
- Execute purchasing activities driven by MRP outputs, including converting planned orders and managing exceptions.
- Maintain accurate item master data, including lead times, min/max levels, supplier information, and BOM attributes.
- Analyze MRP reports to identify shortages, excess inventory, and planning discrepancies.
- Collaborate with production, planning, and inventory teams to ensure alignment on material needs.
- Manage supplier performance, including on‑time delivery, lead time negotiations, and escalation of supply issues.
Procurement/Buyer Requirements:
- Strong working knowledge of MRP concepts, including demand planning, lead times, BOMs, safety stock, and lot sizing
- Hands‑on experience using ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, Epicor, or similar)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment (strongly preferred)
- Understanding of production scheduling, inventory management, and supply chain impact
