Material Handler – Night Shift
Location: Suffolk, VA
Shift: Monday–Thursday, 5:30 PM – 3:30 AM (temporary training schedule; will return to 12-hour shifts once fully trained)
Pay Rate: $18/hr
Overtime: Available (typically 8–10 hours per week for strong performers)
Dress Code: Jeans, t-shirt, and closed-toe shoes
Position Overview
Material Handlers are responsible for transporting materials between the warehouse and production floor. This position is primarily forklift-based, with some manual handling as needed. Candidates must have standing electric forklift experience and be comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs.
Key Responsibilities
Operate standing electric forklifts to move materials and supplies between warehouse and production areas
Assist with manual material handling, picking, packing, and product movement
Perform general labor tasks such as adding lids, cleaning, and maintaining work areas
Follow all safety protocols and company procedures
Breaks: 30-minute unpaid lunch and three paid 15-minute breaks
Background/Drug Screen: Required (some history acceptable; no violent, sexual, or serious felony offenses)
Qualifications
Previous warehouse experience preferred (related experience considered)
Must have standing forklift experience
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, dependable, and hardworking with a strong attendance record
Coachable and willing to take on various tasks as needed to support the team
