Inventory Specialist Job Details:
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:00AM - 3:00PM
Pay Rate: $20-$22/hr depending on experience
Inventory Specialist Job Description:
Responsible for maintaining and updating inventory levels in the
warehouse and manages orders to facilitate sales and production. Accurately counting the
number of available products and placing orders for more inventory to include materials,
equipment, merchandise or supplies according to demand.
Specific Responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer demand while
identifying shortages and informs Warehouse Manager and Production.
• Responsible for setting up Material Resources Planning (MRP).
• Oversee order fulfillment activities (pulling parts, stocking and storing) ensuring timely
and accurate processing of customer orders.
• Conduct regular audits of inventory, investigates and corrects discrepancies and
implement corrective actions.
• Load and unload containers to include reviewing freight documentation
• Backup for shipping & receiving
• Supports purchasing department as needed
• Communicate and work with team members across departments to complete team
goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor or management
Inventory Specialist Job Requirements:
• Experience using and understanding inventory computer programs
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Mathematical and analytical skills
• Operate standard forklift and pallet jack.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy of records.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
