We are looking for a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support our project teams in delivering successful construction/industrial projects. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver and a strong communicator who is eager to grow their career into a full Project Management role. The APM will be critical in managing documentation, tracking project components, and ensuring smooth communication across all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Tracking: Assist the Project Manager in scheduling, tracking project milestones, managing materials procurement, and ensuring all project components are moving on schedule.
Documentation Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project files, including contracts, submittals, RFIs (Requests for Information), change orders, and meeting minutes. Ensure all documentation is accessible and properly distributed.
Communication: Serve as a clear and professional communication link between the Project Manager, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. Manage correspondence and facilitate project meetings.
Cost Tracking: Support basic budget awareness by assisting with invoice processing, tracking project costs, and monitoring subcontractor billing.
Problem-Solving: Proactively identify potential issues (schedule conflicts, resource gaps, etc.) and contribute practical, resourceful solutions to keep the project on track.
Technical Support: Utilize project management software (Procore, Microsoft Project, Excel) to manage data, generate reports, and assist with scheduling tasks.
Field Support: Coordinate with field operations and project superintendents to ensure the smooth flow of information and resources to the job site.
Client Relations: Maintain a professional demeanor and represent the company positively in all client-facing situations.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience: Prior experience as an Assistant Project Manager or in a related coordinating role within the construction or industrial sector is highly preferred. Experience with coordinating schedules, managing subcontractors, and supporting field operations is a strong asset.
Organization: Must be exceptionally organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple competing tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are required for interacting clearly with diverse stakeholders (vendors, internal staff, and clients).
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software tools (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project) and strong competence in Microsoft Excel.
Time Management: Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines consistently.
