HVAC Installation Technician Job Details:
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM is the typical shift; must be flexible for days, nights, weekends, and overtime
Pay Rate: $25–$30/hr (based on experience and licensure)
Location: Projects range from James City County, VA to Currituck, NC
HVAC Installation Technician Job Description:
The HVAC Installation Technician is responsible for installing and replacing HVAC systems and associated control systems. Duties include completing installations to company standards, ensuring safety compliance, maintaining documentation, and delivering excellent customer service. Projects typically involve school renovations and new system installations.
HVAC Installation Technician Job Requirements:
3+ years of HVAC industry experience (or equivalent)
Must provide basic hand tools (hammer, level, wrenches, etc.); personal power tools are a plus
State Journeyman’s Card or Master’s License preferred (not required)
EPA-approved CFC Certification required
Working knowledge of BOCA Code and OSHA safety regulations
Ability to read and follow technical prints and documentation
Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor
Flexible schedule, including weekend OT and short-notice assignments
Physically capable of HVAC installation tasks and wearing PPE
Ability to work independently and manage schedules/work orders
