Position Overview:
We’re seeking a hands-on Fabrication Technician to support the production of advanced UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) systems used in medical and life science applications. This role focuses on component fabrication and sub-assembly construction, with responsibilities in both mechanical and electrical tasks. Candidates should have experience in metal and wire prep, drilling, tapping, wiring, and a basic understanding of electrical circuits. You’ll work closely with the assembly team to meet production goals while ensuring all work meets our strict quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fabricate, prep, and test raw and component materials (including frames, fasteners, 3D-printed parts, and enclosures) based on technical drawings and specifications.
- Build and quality-check electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies.
- Support Assembly Technicians in the production and final testing of UPS systems.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels of components and fabrication materials.
- Follow all safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures.
Qualifications:
- Hands-on fabrication experience with proficiency in operating standard shop equipment.
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical school a plus).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
- Must be physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 75 lbs (occasionally up to 175 lbs with assistance).
- Strong attention to detail, reliability, and self-motivated work ethic.
