Position Overview:
The Logistics Clerk I position is a vital member of the Operations Team and is responsible for assisting the coordination of all shipping/receiving processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify, sign, and be responsible for the accuracy of incoming and outgoing packing list quantities
- Successfully prioritize and complete multiple objectives based on information received from Logistics Supervisor
- Work with a small team, typically 5 or less. Communicating, listening, and retaining information is key
- Utilize ERP software to transact receipts, shipments (Customer, Subcontract, Drop-Ships, and Miscellaneous), material moves, etc.
- Research various ERP modules to locate parts and part transaction history
- Capture, document, and store photos of shipped product (all parts are photographed at shipment)
- Schedule and perform all needed parcel and LTL shipments
- Timely and effectively communicate status including updates or perceived challenges in project delivery to various departments and levels of the organization
- Communicate need to order materials, tools, and supplies for projects to supervisor
- Perform investigating and reporting of shipping and receiving records
- Review Operations Dashboard daily to ensure all Drop-Shipments have been processed and current shipping schedule is understood
- Filing claims against freight companies and working with them for lost/damaged/missing items
- Deliver receiving packing lists and Inventory Movement Reports to Accounting, daily
- Work with Purchasing, Logistics Supervisor, and Accounting to resolve shipping and/or receiving discrepancies
- Timely review of emails with priority on responsiveness
Qualifications:
- Experience in shipping and receiving (3 years + in manufacturing preferred)
- Experience in job-shop fabrication a plus
- Experience packaging and loading large equipment
- Forklift experience/certification in transportation of large equipment
- Requires proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Ability to work effectively & efficiently with team members on multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as logical thought process
