Assembler
Location: Point of Rocks, MD
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour + Monthly Production Bonus
Schedule: Full-Time (Overtime Available)
Job Summary
Are you looking to start a career in manufacturing? We are seeking dependable and motivated Assemblers to join a growing production team in Point of Rocks, MD. This hands-on role involves assembling products, operating basic production equipment, performing quality inspections, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. No prior experience is required, and training is provided.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assemble components and products according to specifications.
- Fasten parts together using bolts, clips, screws, adhesives, and other assembly methods.
- Measure and cut materials to required dimensions.
- Inspect products for quality and remove defective items.
- Operate machinery used in fitting, fastening, and assembly processes.
- Work at various stations throughout the production area based on business needs.
- Adapt to changing product lines and production requirements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- No previous experience required; training provided.
- Experience in assembly, manufacturing, construction, or carpentry is a plus.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and willingness to work overtime when needed.
Physical Requirements
- Stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Frequently use hands for handling, assembling, and moving materials.
- Occasionally bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and balance.
- Continuously lift up to 25 lbs.
- Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
- Occasionally lift up to 100 lbs. with proper assistance and equipment.
- Ability to work around moving machinery and in varying temperature conditions.
Work Environment
- Manufacturing and production setting.
- Exposure to machinery, industrial noise, dust, and changing temperatures.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hearing and eye protection.
Compensation & Benefits
