PeopleShare is seeking a Customer Service Specialist for a valued healthcare client in Virginia Beach. This is an excellent opportunity for a customer-focused professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys helping patients while providing exceptional service.
Responsibilities
- Enter new patient intake information into company databases
- Answer inbound calls and assist patients with questions and concerns
- Communicate with physicians, therapists, and healthcare professionals
- Process patient payments and establish payment plans
- Update insurance and coverage information
- Schedule appointments and provide reminder calls
- Check patients in for appointments
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Assist with referral intake, delivery orders, and equipment pickups
Qualifications
- 2+ years of customer service experience required
- Healthcare, medical office, or patient-facing experience preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
- Ability to resolve problems and work independently
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and computer systems
- Experience navigating databases, insurance portals, and payment processing systems preferred
