Position Overview
A well-established national distributor of kitchen cabinetry and flooring is seeking a Sales/Design Specialist & Customer Service Representative to join its growing team in Edison, New Jersey. This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated professional who enjoys working with customers, creating design solutions, and supporting sales operations in a fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in retail or distribution sales, customer service, and a passion for helping customers select the right products for their home improvement projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers with the selection and purchase of kitchen cabinetry and flooring products.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving concerns, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
- Prepare quotes, process orders, and coordinate follow-up communications with customers.
- Create kitchen cabinet layouts and design solutions based on customer needs and project requirements.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional communication and product knowledge.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure accurate order processing and timely delivery.
- Manage multiple customer projects while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
- Support showroom and sales activities as needed.
Qualifications
- 1–2 years of retail sales, distribution sales, or customer service experience preferred.
- Experience in kitchen cabinet sales or design is a strong plus.
- Knowledge of 20/20 Design Software is highly desirable.
- Flooring sales or customer service experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to work directly with customers.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong team-oriented mindset.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
