Unit Wire Technician
Location: Frederick, MD
Pay Rate: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Unit Wire Technician to join a manufacturing team in Frederick, MD. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and wiring units to ensure they meet quality standards and technical specifications. This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone with strong electrical knowledge and a high attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Wire components and subassemblies according to detailed electrical wiring diagrams
• Solder connections accurately, following IPC‑610 quality standards
• Read and interpret schematics and technical drawings
• Perform electrical testing to verify unit functionality and safety
• Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, and ohmmeters to assemble and adjust components
• Troubleshoot electrical circuits using multimeters or ohmmeters
• Maintain accurate documentation, including inspection reports and process logs
Required Qualifications:
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring, schematics, and mechanical assembly
• Electrical troubleshooting experience
• Familiarity with PLCs and their integration in manufacturing systems
• Knowledge of IPC‑610 standards
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
Physical & Technical Requirements:
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Mechanical aptitude related to component installation and unit assembly
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment requiring precision and documentation
