Production Trainer – Frederick, MD
Pay: $62,000 to $90,000 based on experience
Schedule: 1st Shift (Mon–Thurs 6AM–3:30PM, Fri 6AM–2:30PM, Sat 6AM–12PM + OT as needed)
We’re looking for an experienced Production Trainer to help develop and grow the skills of our production team. In this role, you’ll create hands‑on training programs, support new hires, and ensure employees are confident, safe, and technically capable in all production areas.
What You’ll Do:
- Train new hires one-on-one in production processes
- Create and maintain technical training materials and work instructions
- Evaluate training effectiveness and recommend improvements
- Support cross-training, remedial training, and ongoing skill development
- Maintain the Training Matrix and track progress
- Work closely with production leadership to identify training needs
- Occasionally work varied shifts to support training goals
What We’re Looking For:
- 5+ years in the steel industry (Associates degree) OR 7+ years experience (HS diploma)
- Strong communication skills and ability to teach hands-on work
- Experience with welding, rigging, crane operation, or machine operation
- Proficient with Word and Excel
- Safe, dependable, and able to work in both office and plant environments
- TWI Certification preferred
- Ability to travel locally as needed
