Senior HRIS Analyst â University HR Department

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hourÂ
PeopleShare is seeking a Senior HRIS Analyst to support a major university in Norfolk. ⨠Job Responsibilities
HRIS System Management
Oversee configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of the HRIS.
Ensure system accuracy, data integrity, and optimal performance.
Maintain documentation of processes, configurations, and system changes.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze HR data to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
Develop and maintain custom reports for HR leadership and other stakeholders.
Support dataâdriven decisionâmaking across the university.
Process Improvement
Partner with HR and other departments to streamline workflows.
Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency within HRIS.
Recommend and implement system improvements.
User Support & Training
Provide advanced HRIS support to HR staff and endâusers.
Develop training materials and conduct training sessions.
Serve as a subjectâmatter expert for system functionality.
Compliance & Security
Project Management & Collaboration
Lead HRISârelated projects, including upgrades and integrations.
Work closely with IT and other departments to troubleshoot issues and implement new technologies.
Support crossâfunctional initiatives requiring HRIS expertise.
đ Minimum Qualifications
Bachelorâs degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field (Masterâs preferred).
At least 5 years of HRIS experience, ideally in higher education.
Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Workday, Banner, PeopleSoft, etc.).
Strong data analysis skills; SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools are a plus.
Excellent communication skills, especially when explaining technical concepts to nonâtechnical users.
Strong analytical and problemâsolving abilities with high attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
â Preferred Qualifications
Experience with data migration and system integrations.
Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law.
HRISârelated certifications (PHR, SPHR, HRIP, SHRMâCP/SCP, HRCI).
Experience working in a higher education environment.
