Pay: $60,000–$85,000 annually
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM

PeopleShare is hiring an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal for a well‑respected law firm in downtown Norfolk. This is a full‑time, onsite role supporting a fast‑paced litigation practice. We are seeking a seasoned paralegal who can independently manage PI cases from post‑intake through trial or settlement.
Job Responsibilities
Manage personal injury cases through all pre‑litigation and litigation phases
Track statute of limitations, discovery deadlines, and court‑ordered dates
Maintain organized electronic and physical case files
Monitor medical treatment and ensure cases are medically mature before resolution
Understand and manage liens
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests/responses, and correspondence with minimal oversight
Prepare complaints, subpoenas, deposition notices, and settlement filings
Assist with trial preparation: exhibit lists, witness lists, medical summaries, indexes, and trial binders
Handle e‑filing in state courts (federal experience is a plus)
Organize medical records, bills, and wage loss documentation
Prepare initial discovery responses and objections
Calendaring & Coordination
Manage attorney calendars using Outlook
Schedule depositions, mediations, hearings, and expert conferences
Coordinate with opposing counsel, court staff, court reporters, medical providers, and experts
Requirements
5+ years of Personal Injury Litigation Paralegal experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of PI litigation timelines, damages, and discovery
Ability to draft pleadings and discovery independently (with or without templates)
Experience managing medical records, liens, and case documentation
Excellent grammar, writing, and organizational skills
Ability to work proactively in a fast‑paced litigation environment
General District and Circuit Court experience required; Federal Court experience is a plus
Must be able to take ownership of files and operate without step‑by‑step instruction
