Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Label Press Operator to run digital label printing presses and support high‑volume print production. This role is responsible for accurate press setup, color calibration, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and producing high‑quality printed materials. Ideal candidates have hands‑on experience with digital presses, commercial printing equipment, or label production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate digital label printing presses and manage the full print workflow
- Set up equipment, perform make‑ready procedures, and adjust press settings
- Complete routine press maintenance, cleaning, and consumable replacement
- Calibrate color, perform color profiling, and maintain consistent color output
- Run quality checks for accuracy, color consistency, and print defects
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, print errors, and production interruptions
- Use RIP/workflow software (Fiery, Onyx, FreeFlow, RIP tools)
- Organize and prioritize production jobs to meet deadlines
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well‑organized work environment
Qualifications
- Experience operating digital presses, label presses, or commercial printing equipment
- Knowledge of digital printing, color management, and pre‑press workflows
- Experience with RIP software (Fiery, Onyx, FreeFlow, or similar)
- Ability to perform color calibration and linearization
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
- High attention to detail for reviewing printed materials
- Prior experience in a print, manufacturing, or production facility preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed
- Experience with HP Indigo, Xerox iGen, or similar digital presses is a plus
