Kitting Technician (Temporary Role)
Location: Baltimore, MD
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Pay: $20–$22/hour (based on experience)
Type: Full-Time | Temporary
Requirements: TWIC & Forklift Certification (Training Provided)
About the Role
We are hiring a Kitting Technician to support a technical manufacturing environment focused on assembling, inspecting, packaging, and preparing specialized splice kits. This role requires attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to work with small parts and precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, clean, package, and kit machined and purchased components
- Perform inbound inspection of parts and verify critical dimensions using measurement tools
- Enter inbound materials and inventory data accurately
- Assemble modified parts and build kits according to detailed specifications
- Prepare completed kits for international shipment
- Maintain stock levels of packaging and kitting materials
- Pick, sort, count, and package small parts with high accuracy
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Use basic hand tools such as pliers, screwdrivers, cutters, and measuring tools
- Support daily production and quality goals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in warehouse, assembly, or mechanical work preferred
- Ability to use hand tools and measurement tools (calipers, gauges, rulers, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with small components
- Able to stand, bend, squat, climb stairs, and lift materials throughout the shift
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office preferred)
- Ability to obtain:
• TWIC credential (cost covered)
• Forklift certification (training provided) - Familiarity with splicing components or technical kitting is a plus
