Position Overview
PeopleShare is seeking a Testing Technician for a leading electrical manufacturer in Hanover, MD. This role focuses on performance and functionality testing of completed electrical assemblies—not assembly work.
If you have experience performing electrical tests, using diagnostic equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures), interpreting schematics, troubleshooting failures, and documenting results, this is an excellent long-term opportunity.
Responsibilities – Testing Technician
- Perform functional and performance testing on electrical and mechanical assemblies.
- Conduct tests using multimeters, oscilloscopes, test fixtures, power meters, and other electrical testing equipment.
- Verify operation of components such as circuit breakers, bus bars, panel boards, switchgear sections, and control panels.
- Document test results, pass/fail outcomes, and corrective actions with a high degree of accuracy.
- Troubleshoot failed units, identify root causes, and communicate findings.
- Ensure all testing follows standard procedures, electrical diagrams, and safety protocols.
- Maintain clean documentation and support overall quality assurance processes.
Requirements – Testing Technician
- Technical degree OR 1–2 years of experience in electrical testing, manufacturing, or field service
- Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience with switchgear, electrical control systems, or panel testing preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to lift 25–75 lbs as needed.
