About the Opportunity
A large distribution facility in Aberdeen, MD is seeking experienced Clamp Truck Forklift Operators to join their growing team. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire opportunity offering stable hours, competitive pay, and a clean, climate‑controlled work environment.
If you have at least 1 year of Clamp Truck experience, apply today! You will be required to test before hire on a Clamp Truck.
Available Shifts :
1st Shift
Tues–Fri | 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
2nd Shift
Mon–Fri | 4:00 PM–12:30 AM (JUST Mon | 5:00 PM–1:30 AM)
Weekend Shift
Sat–Mon | 4:00 AM–5:00 PM
Overtime: Occasional mandatory OT; additional OT available if desired.
What You’ll Do (Daily Responsibilities)
- Operate Electric Clamp Trucks for the majority of the shift
- Load, unload, move, and consolidate materials
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and product movement
- Maintain a fast, accurate workflow with minimal supervision
- Follow all safety rules — no phones or headphones on equipment
- Work in a climate‑controlled warehouse with fans and dehumidifiers
- Support cross‑training needs across multiple departments
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of forklift, clamp truck, or PIT experience
- Experience with RF scanners
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity
- Strong safety awareness
- Steel‑toe boots required (fully laced; no slip‑on styles)
- Ability to pass:
- 7‑year background check
- 4‑panel drug screen
- On‑site PIT operations test
Training Process
- Day 1: Classroom training
- Days 2–5: Hands‑on equipment training and cross‑training
Work Environment
- Climate‑controlled warehouse
- Fast‑paced, high‑volume operation
- Majority of shift spent on the forklift, minimal on/off
