Chemical Production Operator
Location: Sayreville, NJ
Schedule: 6am-2pm Monday-Friday
Pay: $20-25/hr.
PeopleShare is seeking a Chemical Production Operator to join a growing manufacturing team! This position is perfect for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, operating industrial equipment, and being part of a fast‑paced production environment. You’ll work under the direct supervision of the Lead Production Operator to run chemical processes safely and efficiently.
Job Responsibilities
Operate chemical processing equipment, including reactors, pumps, valves, and control panels
Monitor gauges, flow meters, panel lights, and computer systems to ensure proper process conditions
Adjust controls to regulate chemical reactions, product flow, and production quality
Draw product samples and perform basic quality checks
Record operating data such as temperatures, pressures, test results, and production metrics
Assist with start‑up and shut‑down procedures using established checklists
Inspect equipment and notify maintenance of any issues
Perform routine cleaning, rinsing, and flushing of production vessels
Follow all safety procedures, SOPs, and environmental regulations
Support inventory counts and general plant operations as needed
Job Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience as a chemical operator, production operator, or process operator preferred
Ability to work in a non‑climate‑controlled environment
Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs and rolling 55‑gallon drums (up to 440 lbs)
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written procedures
Willingness to work rotating shifts and occasional overtime
Familiarity with safety equipment (glasses, hearing protection, steel‑toe boots, etc.)
