Job Description:
The Community Canvasser is responsible for conducting door-to-door and event-based outreach to raise awareness about local programs and assess eligibility. Duties include collecting contact details and signatures, meeting daily and weekly performance goals, and participating in training sessions. This role requires professionalism, initiative, and strong interpersonal skills to effectively represent the organization and engage with the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct door-to-door canvassing to inform residents about community programs
- Build rapport and accurately collect required contact information and signatures
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly quotas for engagement and data collection
- Attend outreach events to expand community reach
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and performance reviews
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of six (6) months of related experience (canvassing, sales, or outreach preferred)
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working outdoors and engaging with diverse individuals
- Reliable, punctual, and goal-oriented
