Equipment Service Technician
Location: Cinnaminson, NJ
Schedule: Full‑Time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: $55,000 – $60,000 per year
Travel: Primarily onsite (≈85%); some local and occasional air travel required
Position Overview
We are seeking a Equipment Service Technician with strong electrical/mechanical aptitude and hands‑on maintenance experience. The ideal candidate is flexible, detail‑oriented, capable of managing multiple tasks, and comfortable repairing small equipment. This role requires both on‑site support and travel to customer locations as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and general maintenance on small laboratory equipment (e.g., microscopes, fume hoods, centrifuges, autoclaves).
- Conduct preventative maintenance activities as directed.
- Move, pack, and ship delicate laboratory equipment safely.
- Handle work orders assigned by the manager.
- Travel to various locations to pick up or repair equipment on-site.
- Maintain safe driving standards and compliance with all state/local regulations.
- Assist with miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned.
- Participate in hands‑on training for specialized equipment (no prior lab equipment experience required).
Must‑Have Qualifications
- 2–3 years of electrical or mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience with general electronic repairs, small equipment maintenance, or hardware diagnostics.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (driver abstract check required).
- Ability to travel locally (up to 100-mile radius) and occasionally by air.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Strong time-management skills and reliability.
- Authorization to work in the U.S. permanently without sponsorship.
Nice‑to‑Have Qualifications
- Calibration technician experience.
- Engineering background or a 4-year STEM degree.
