Position: Human Resources Generalist (Life Sciences)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (on-site)
Pay: $50,000 – $65,000 annually (based on experience) + full benefits
Overview:
PeopleShare is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join a medical supply production company in Norfolk. This is a hands-on role supporting a small, close-knit team of about 50 employees. The ideal candidate has strong HR experience within a production or manufacturing environment and thrives in a setting where they can be the right hand to the current supervisor — not leading the department, but actively supporting it.
This role is perfect for someone who takes direction well, communicates effectively, and is ready to step in and make an immediate impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in developing and administering personnel procedures and policies
Support continuous improvement by implementing HR-driven systems and processes
Create and update job descriptions as needed
Manage all talent acquisition efforts, including job postings and creative sourcing strategies
Oversee the applicant tracking system and candidate pipeline
Schedule and conduct interviews
Build and maintain relationships with recruiters, universities, and other talent sources
Research and apply for job creation incentives
Oversee internships and apprenticeship programs
Develop and coordinate recurring training programs
Research new training opportunities and present findings to leadership
Administer the company’s compensation and benefits programs
Support HR plans and incentive programs
Maintain HRIS systems, including data entry and timekeeping
Create and distribute in-office communications regarding events, policy updates, and new hires
Manage and analyze HR reporting metrics
Maintain professional, positive rapport with employees across the organization
Who We’re Looking For:
HR Generalist experience in a production or manufacturing environment is required
Comfortable working in a small team environment
Someone who prefers supporting leadership rather than managing others
Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
Able to start immediately
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field
Strong project ownership, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities

LEAN mindset and “team player” attitude a plus
