We are seeking a skilled and proactive Machine Operator to handle the development, operation, and maintenance of our essential post-press equipment. This is a hands-on role where your focus on efficiency, quality, and safety directly contributes to our facility’s successful operation.
Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do)
Operate and Maintain Post-Press Equipment: Run complex machinery, including, but not limited to, stackers, inserters, stitchers, coaters, stretch wrappers, tabbers, heat shrink wrappers, binding equipment, folders, and cutters.
Production Finishing: Perform core functions such as:
Binding bookstacks and stitching collated printer spreads.
Folding printed materials (letters, cards, brochures, etc.).
Wrapping finished products using an automated stretch wrap machine.
Material Handling and Distribution: Be responsible for material handling, product stacking, packaging, and the accurate distribution of preprinted inserts and finished products.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute regular preventative maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure reliable operation and minimize costly downtime.
Safety Champion: Maintain a continual focus on safety and injury prevention for yourself and your coworkers, promptly addressing or reporting any unsafe conditions to management.
