Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a 2nd Shift Material Handler to support our manufacturing and warehouse operations. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and packaging materials and supplies to ensure smooth production flow and accurate inventory control.
Key Responsibilities:
Count, weigh, or measure incoming and outgoing items to verify accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, and orders.
Inspect shipments for damage or shortages and communicate with shippers to resolve issues.
Complete documentation and enter data into SAP and other tracking systems.
Receive and issue vendor materials, and process purchase orders, return deliveries, and stock transfers.
Route materials to appropriate locations such as inspection, storage, or work-in-progress areas.
Cut raw steel according to specifications using provided cut sheets.
Pull and verify parts for production and spare parts kits.
Process returned items from production or customer returns into inventory.
Perform stock requisitions and inventory transactions.
Assist with cycle counts and maintain inventory accuracy.
Pack, box, wrap, and prepare materials for safe shipment.
Enter shipment data into UPS/FedEx systems.
Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment.
Support special projects and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 3 months experience in a similar warehouse or material handling role.
Forklift certification or proven experience operating forklifts.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to use email, Excel, and ERP systems (preferably SAP).
Valid driver's license required.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Ability to solve problems and work independently or as part of a team.
