JOB TITLE: Machine Shop Operator
PAY RATE: $22.86/hour
SCHEDULE: Monday - Friday, 6AM - 2:30PM
Job Description:
Operate (when Previously set-up)
- Drill Press
- Radial Drill Press
- Manual Lathe
- Cut off saw, chop saw, and circular saw
Must be able to read and understand:
- Job drawings and select proper tools, work layout
- Tape measure
- Drill/tap chart – choose proper size drill for tap size
Basic Math skills necessary:
- Adding/Subtracting
- Fractions/decimals
Essential Job Tasks:
- Drill and Tap castings on machine or by hand tool
- Grind castings when required, to allow proper fit
- Drive Fork Truck
- Sharpen tools
- Cut pipe or flat stock, thread pipe
- Install hardware or assemble machined parts
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Safety Glasses (per PPP)
- Hearing Protection (ear plugs)
