JOB DETAILS: The Production Test Technician I is responsible for ensuring the quality of product assemblies through hands-on training and direct task oversight provided by the Production Test Team Lead. Responsibilities include inspecting, programming, calibrating, and testing subassemblies and finished products to meet manufacturer specifications. Troubleshooting at the subassembly and product levels may be required to identify and correct assembly test failures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform inspection, programming, calibration, and testing of assemblies and finished products to ensure conformance with quality standards.
- Conduct assembly and product-level failure analysis, including circuit troubleshooting.
- Execute tasks based on oral and written instructions, drawings, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Follow established QMS, Product Test & Inspection procedures, and work instructions.
- Maintain data entry and filing of Test Records as required.
- Handle materials per QMS & ESD procedures.
- Work efficiently to meet Customer Order delivery dates and daily team objectives.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area, adhering to 6S protocols.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by Leadership/Supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree or relevant technical degree required.
- 0-5 years of experience as a technician in an electrical product environment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing electromechanical systems and circuits (analog, digital, power supply, high voltage).
- Familiarity with calibration standards, measurement equipment (DMMs, O-Scopes, Insulation Testers, Power Supplies), and data collection/reporting.
- Basic soldering skills and knowledge of techniques.
- Competence with PCs and related applications.
- Willingness to work safely with High Voltages (1kV to 80kV).
