Job Description
We are seeking a Credentialing/Payor Enrollment Specialist to join our team in Cherry Hill. This role involves ensuring healthcare providers are credentialed and enrolled with payors such as HMOs, Medicare, and Medicaid. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.
Responsibilities:
- Submit initial and re-credentialing applications for payor, Medicare, and Medicaid enrollment.
- Track and follow up on submitted applications, obtaining provider ID numbers and effective dates.
- Develop a working knowledge of enrollment processes for multiple states.
- Liaise between the billing department and payors to troubleshoot claims denials due to provider enrollment issues.
- Maintain a matrix of expiring credentials and ensure timely updates.
- Organize and manage multiple tasks, prioritizing time-sensitive deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of solid credentialing experience (2–4 years preferred).
- Experience with payor portal software is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED required.
