We are seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Enrollment Specialists to support individuals seeking access to healthcare-related programs. In this role, you will serve as a primary point of contact for patients and healthcare providers, guiding applicants through the enrollment process, determining eligibility based on program guidelines, and providing exceptional customer service throughout the experience.
The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can balance empathy with accuracy while managing a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to inquiries from patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers.
- Guide applicants through the enrollment and application process.
- Collect, review, and accurately document required information.
- Determine eligibility based on program guidelines.
- Communicate application decisions and next steps to participants.
- Educate participants on program requirements and available resources.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure data quality.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and customer service standards
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following:
- Customer service
- Healthcare administration
- Health insurance support
- Human services or social services
- Patient access or patient support programs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and data-entry skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
Preferred
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, Public Health, or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Experience supporting patients in healthcare, insurance, or assistance programs.
