CNC Machinist
Location: Newport News, VA

Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines including mills, lathes, machining centers, and related equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and indicators
- Perform machine adjustments and tool changes to maintain quality and productivity
- Monitor machining operations and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Adhere to all safety, quality, and company procedures
- Work collaboratively with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating CNC mills, lathes, horizontal or vertical machining centers
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
- Knowledge of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds
- Familiarity with precision measuring equipment and quality inspection processes
- Experience with CNC setup, editing offsets, and basic programming is a plus
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented manufacturing environment
- High school diploma, GED, trade school certification, or equivalent experience preferred
