We are currently hiring for a Production Planner in the Monroe, NJ area. The production planner is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules that ensure efficient workflow across all work centers. You’ll work closely with Production, Supply Chain, and Materials teams to balance demand, capacity, and inventory while driving schedule accuracy and operational efficiency.
Schedule: Monday- Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm
Salary: $65k-$70k
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and adjust daily, weekly, and long‑range production schedules based on demand, forecasts, capacity, and materials.
- Coordinate schedules across all work centers to maximize efficiency and throughput.
- Communicate schedule updates to supervisors and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Evaluate labor, machine capacity, equipment constraints, and priorities to support capacity planning.
- Partner with Supply Chain/Materials teams to confirm raw material availability.
- Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and revise schedules to maintain on‑time delivery.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data within the ERP/MRP system.
- Generate and analyze reports on schedule adherence, performance, and capacity utilization.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to scheduling and production flow.
- Balance production needs with inventory and warehouse capacity.
- Participate in production meetings to communicate priorities and resolve conflicts.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, Engineering, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing operations.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, work centers, and scheduling methodologies.
- Ability to interpret demand forecasts, BOMs, routings, and capacity data.
- Advanced analytical and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and cross‑department coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Excel and production scheduling software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, constantly changing environment.
