Income Partner – Employment Litigation & Labor
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – 3 Days In Office)
Compensation: $175,000 – $190,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits
Our client, a well-established and highly respected Chicago-based law firm, is seeking an experienced attorney to join its Employment Litigation & Labor Practice at the Income Partner level.

Complex E-Discovery
Attorneys work closely with employers, business owners, executives, and HR leaders to defend workplace claims, resolve disputes, and provide practical legal guidance that helps minimize future risk.
Responsibilities
Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution.
Represent employers in state and federal court, administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations, and other employment-related disputes.
Handle all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation.
Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related filings.
Defend employers in matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour claims, restrictive covenants, class and collective actions, and other employment-related disputes.
Advise employers on workplace investigations, employment agreements, compliance matters, and workplace policies to help reduce future litigation risk.
Continue growing an existing book of business while building and maintaining long-term client relationships.
Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
Contribute to the continued growth of the firm's Employment Litigation & Labor Practice.
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school.
Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar.
7–10 years of employment litigation experience.
Portable book of business required.
Minimum portable book of business of approximately $500,000–$600,000.
Experience representing employers in employment litigation and administrative proceedings.
Strong background in discovery, motion practice, oral arguments, and complex document productions.
Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to establish, grow, and maintain client relationships.
Experience counseling employers on employment law matters preferred.
Strong academic credentials preferred.

Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $175,000–$190,000, depending on experience.

Interview Process
First Interview: Virtual interview with the Practice Group Leader
Final Interview: In-person interviews with four attorneys from different practice areas (approximately 30 minutes each; allow approximately three hours total).
