Maintenance Technician Job Description:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems including motors, drives, PLCs, sensors, relays, and control panels.
- Maintain and repair plant power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.
- Diagnose and correct faults in automated and semi-automated production equipment, including CNC machinery and robotics.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems to minimize equipment downtime.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with applicable safety and code requirements, including NFPA 70, NEC, and NFPA 70E standards.
- Support machine controls integration, wiring modifications, and control panel fabrication.
- Assist with mechanical troubleshooting and repairs as needed.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, safety, and production efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
Maintenance Technician Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical certificate or Associate Degree in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in an industrial or automotive manufacturing environment.
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair experience.
- Working knowledge of PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, relays, and automated equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Mechanical maintenance experience is a plus.
- Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a manufacturing environment.
