Process Operator (PM)

💲 Pay: $19.67/hour + $1.50 shift differential
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Process Technician to join our production team in a food manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for batching ingredients, operating and monitoring processing equipment, and ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and production standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor processing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs) and product specifications
- Batch and measure raw ingredients into hoppers and processing equipment based on batch cards and production instructions (including Brix, pH, and acid levels)
- Verify all materials (item codes, lot numbers, weights, and descriptions) to ensure accuracy and traceability
- Maintain strict food safety and quality standards when handling ingredients and throughout production processes
- Monitor production and stop processes to report any issues related to quality, food safety, or equipment performance
- Support production start-up and shutdown procedures
- Accurately record critical control points, ingredient usage, and production data in real time
- Complete all required batch paperwork and documentation with a high level of accuracy
- Identify equipment or process issues and submit work orders for repairs
- Communicate equipment, material, and quality concerns to incoming shifts
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment, including Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety regulations, and PPE requirements at all times
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Minimum of 6 months of food processing, cooking, or related manufacturing experience
- Ability to use basic tools such as knives, pumps, and scales
- Basic math skills, including measurements and calculations
- Ability to read and interpret batch instructions, safety guidelines, and operating procedures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow detailed instructions with accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in food manufacturing or processing environments
- Familiarity with RedZone or similar production systems
- Lockout/Tagout training
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
