Community Canvasser (Anticipated Future Openings)
Part-Time | Long-Term Contract | $22–$23/Hour
We're seeking outgoing, community-minded individuals for future Community Canvasser opportunities throughout Philadelphia. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys talking with people, being outdoors, and helping residents learn about programs and resources available to them.
Responsibilities
- Conduct door-to-door outreach in Philadelphia neighborhoods
- Share information about community programs, services, and resources
- Engage residents in meaningful conversations and answer questions
- Assist with phone banking and text banking campaigns
- Document outreach efforts and resident interactions
- Represent the organization professionally within the community
Schedule
- Summer: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
- Winter: 12:00 PM – 4:00 PM
- No working in extreme weather conditions
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable speaking with people from diverse backgrounds
- Reliable, professional, and self-motivated
- Ability to work independently and outdoors
- Customer service, outreach, canvassing, sales, hospitality, or nonprofit experience is a plus
