We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to support day‑to‑day financial operations related to customer billing and payments. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate records, supporting internal teams, and assisting with timely cash flow. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable working with numbers in a fast‑paced office environment.
Pay Rate: $16-17/hr based on experience
Office‑based position
Standard business hours, Monday-Friday
Key Responsibilities
- Process and apply customer payments accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain customer account records and update information as needed
- Review account activity and assist with resolving payment discrepancies
- Communicate with internal departments and customers regarding billing questions
- Support collection efforts on past‑due balances in a professional manner
- Prepare routine reports related to receivables and account status
- Assist with account adjustments and basic accounting entries
- Perform other administrative or accounting‑related duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of accounting or financial principles
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient with standard office software (spreadsheets, email, word processing)
- Ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
- Professional communication skills, written and verbal
- Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in accounts receivable, billing, or general accounting preferred
