Assembly Operator Job Details:
Location: Hampton, VA
Schedule & Pay Rate:
- 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM): $21.00 – $21.50/hr
- 2nd Shift (Monday–Thursday, 2:15 PM – 12:45 AM): $23.10 – $23.80/hr
- 3rd Shift (Monday–Friday, 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM or 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM): $24.15 – $24.73/hr
- Weekend Day Shift (Friday–Monday, 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM): $23.10/hr
- Weekend Night Shift (Friday–Monday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM): $24.15/hr
Assembly Operator Job Description:
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components following standardized work instructions
- Test and inspect parts to ensure quality and proper functionality
- Read and follow manufacturing drawings, SOPs, and work instructions
- Use microscopes and small hand tools for detailed assembly work
- Perform soldering of small components when required
- Maintain clean and organized work areas in line with 5S standards
- Follow all safety rules, company policies, and supervisor direction
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks that may vary by production needs
- Overtime may be required
Assembly Operator Job Requirements:
- Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred (1+ year)
- High school diploma or GED
- Good hand‑eye coordination and attention to detail
- Ability to use microscopes and small hand tools
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift light to moderate items
- Steel‑toe shoes required
- Willingness to train on 1st shift if assigned to 2nd or 3rd shift
