Details for the Digital Press Operator:
- Location: Columbia, MD
- Pay: $20-25/hr (based on experience)
- Schedule: Monday- Friday 7am-4pm (Saturdays for OT)
Job Duties for the Digital Press Operator:
- Operate digital label presses (Konica Minolta, HP Indigo, Xeikon, Xerox, etc.)
- Manage full production cycles: setup, makeready, adjustments, and final output checks
- Run finishing equipment (GM Mini, ABG, Rotoflex, Prati, etc.)
- Perform die-cutting, lamination, slitting, rewinding, and finishing setup
- Complete routine equipment cleaning, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Ensure quality with color calibration, profiling, and density checks
- Inspect final labels for accuracy, color consistency, and defects
- Use RIP/workflow software such as Fiery, FreeFlow, Onyx, AccurioPro
- Stay organized and keep production on schedule and on target
- Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Requirements for the Digital Press Operator:
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced with digital or label presses (or commercial printing equipment)
- Knowledgeable in color management and print processes
- Comfortable with RIP software (Fiery, Onyx, FreeFlow, etc.)
- Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting abilities
- Detail-oriented with a sharp eye for print quality and accuracy
- Physically able to stand for shifts and lift up to 50 lbs
Bonus points if you’ve worked with:
HP Indigo, Xeikon, or Konica Minolta AccurioLabel systems!
