Material Handler

Shift: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Pay: $15/hr
Job Summary
PeopleShare is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented Material Handler for a small, quiet warehouse environment in Norfolk. This is not a large or hectic facility — the pace is steady and the ideal associate must be able to work independently, stay focused, and manage tasks with minimal supervision.
This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, comfortable working autonomously, and willing to take on a variety of general labor and material‑handling tasks.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, pack, and label products for shipment according to company and carrier guidelines. • Verify and document incoming and outgoing shipments against purchase orders and manifests. • Move, stage, and organize materials using pallet jacks and other non‑forklift equipment. • Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with routine cycle counts. • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials in designated areas. • Keep the warehouse clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards. • Support warehouse and production teams by completing additional tasks as assigned. • Meet daily accuracy, quality, and productivity expectations.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations preferred. • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. • Comfortable working independently in a quiet, structured environment. • Familiarity with basic inventory processes is a plus. • Must be able to pass a clean background check and drug test.
