PeopleShare is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support accounting operations across multiple U.S. business units within a large, global industrial organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented accounting professional with strong experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the Finance Director/Group CFO and collaborate with global teams, including a Center of Excellence located overseas. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth month-end close processes. This is a hybrid role based out of Trenton, NJ.

Key Responsibilities:
Core Accounting
• Ensure accuracy of local books under IFRS and applicable local GAAP
• Participate in monthly close activities and ensure timely, accurate entries
• Prepare manual journal entries (standard and ad hoc)
• Perform intercompany reconciliations
• Prepare and review account reconciliations
• Ensure accurate data promotion in FCCS
• Provide detailed financial data for group financial statement preparation
• Validate deliverables from shared service centers and other stakeholders
Financial Reviews & Compliance
• Participate in monthly balance sheet pre-reviews
• Support quarterly entity-level balance sheet and profitability reviews
• Ensure compliance with group accounting standards and processes
• Support annual audit procedures
• Assist with tax reporting, transfer pricing, and audit support
Business Partnering & Process Improvement
• Serve as the go-to accounting resource for local teams
• Support operational finance tasks as needed
• Act as liaison between local operations and central functions (Tax, CoE, etc.)
• Ensure local finance processes align with group standards
• Lead accounting components of selected projects
• Maintain and enhance accounting processes and related workflows
Local Requirements
• Serve as primary point of contact for local authorities (non-tax)
• Ensure compliance with all local regulatory requirements
Minimum Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
• ERP experience (Oracle R12 preferred; similar systems acceptable)
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
• Ability to work cross-functionally and within global teams
• Hands-on, proactive, and solutions-oriented mindset
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
