Title: Quality Assurance Technician – 1st Shift (Full Time)
Location: Pennsauken, NJ 08110
Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Type: 3 month contract-to-hire
Pay: $18/hr
About the Role
We are expanding our Quality Assurance team and seeking a dedicated QA Technician to support daily food safety, quality, and compliance activities within our production facility. You will work alongside an experienced QA Technician, sharing responsibilities to ensure our products meet all regulatory, customer, and internal standards.
Key Responsibilities
Facility & Production Oversight
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections of production lines, warehouse areas, glass and brittle materials, bathrooms, and break rooms; document all findings.
- Perform random Employee Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) checks at the start of shift, during lunch, and during breaks.
- Verify proper use, storage, and cleanliness of color‑coded cleaning tools and equipment.
Quality & Compliance Audits
- Audit all packing lines to confirm:
- Product weights meet specifications
- Customer requirements are followed
- Correct coffee bins are selected
- Oxygen and Agtron tests are performed
- Document all audits using standard forms and report discrepancies to supervisors.
- Pay special attention to audits at the start of production runs and during product changeovers.
Corrective Actions & Reporting
- Identify and report any non‑compliances observed during the shift.
- Document all non‑compliance issues and corrective actions taken.
Finished Goods & Allergen Control
- Inspect finished goods to verify case counts, product weights, and proper packaging seals.
- Ensure allergen‑containing products are properly segregated, labeled, and controlled.
Inventory & Traceability
- Assist with inventory tracking and traceability from raw material receipt through finished goods.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in food manufacturing, QA, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Comfortable documenting findings and communicating issues clearly.
